Briefly describe the matter and tell us the concrete deadline.
We assess the same day whether FastLane fits the matter, which documents are needed and whether the deadline is realistic.
If we can take on the matter, you receive a concrete quote, including the express surcharge for prioritized handling. You decide only then.
After acceptance and receipt of the complete information, prioritized handling begins. Target window: 2–5 business days.
FastLane is for individual matters with a concrete deadline or another clear reason for urgency. Click a case for details.
Whether it's an official reminder to file or a letter that seems unclear at first — if a deadline is at stake and it's unclear what to do next, we assess the case the same day and tell you whether and how the deadline can realistically be met.
If a return remains unfiled, the tax office escalates in one of two ways: it threatens a fine with a short follow-up deadline, or it estimates the tax base itself under § 162 AO — usually deliberately to the taxpayer's disadvantage. Both can only be corrected by promptly filing the actual return or by a timely objection. We assess immediately how quickly the real return can be delivered.
If VAT returns or tax returns are not filed, the tax office estimates the tax. If these amounts remain unpaid, it can move to enforcement and freeze the bank account. We assess immediately which filings are missing and how the freeze can be lifted as quickly as possible.
After a tax assessment is received, there is usually one month to file an objection. If this deadline is missed, the assessment becomes final and can only be corrected in exceptional cases. We check whether an objection can be drafted and filed on time.
After a notice of audit, there is often little time to compile documents and clarify open points. We take over short-notice preparation and communication with the tax office for the announced audit period.
For various reasons, no returns were filed for several years. Before filing a late return, the scope of missing years and documents needs to be clarified. We assess how the years should be prioritized. We also check whether any criminal-law aspects need to be considered.
Once criminal tax proceedings have been formally initiated, the legal starting position changes fundamentally. A penalty-exempting voluntary disclosure is generally no longer possible from this point on. We handle the tax side of the case, secure all deadlines and work together with specialised criminal defence lawyers.
Whether due to capacity constraints, end of engagement or specialization – if the previous firm drops out on short notice and a deadline is approaching, a fast assessment is needed on whether a takeover is still possible.
If annual financial statements aren't disclosed on time, the Federal Office of Justice opens fine proceedings under § 335 HGB and sets a further deadline (usually six weeks). If this is also missed, a fine of at least €2,500 is imposed — and the process repeats with a higher amount. FastLane takes on the case in full: from preparing the annual financial statements to communicating with the Federal Office of Justice. Timing depends on the state of the bookkeeping.
